My Life in Pictures // Instagram

Instagram // This time of year is alllll about lying on the sofa in front of a warm fire and watch great movies, or playing classic board games with friends and family. Sadly it wasn't a white christmas, but we don't need an excuse to stay all warm and cozy in doors. I had a movie night with friends last week - just good company, some mulled wine, classic movies and an abundance of popcorn... it was perfect!

ASOS Sequin Skirt - Outfit of the Day

Merry Christmas // It's Christmas Day! Wishing all my blog readers and followers a very Merry Christmas - I hope your day is full of love, laugher and most importantly, food. I'm sharing a quick few snaps of my outfit today - I'm wearing this super shiny sequin skirt that I bought from ASOS a couple of years back - it instantly caught my eye and the inner magpie inside of me couldn't resist. This skirt usually makes a grand appearance at this time of year and if you can't dress up on Christmas Day, when can you?! Although I love to look glamorous on a day like today, it's safe to say that as soon as it's time for the Christmas meal, I'll quickly be in my pjs, or anything with an elasticated waist for that matter...

My Life in Pictures // Instagram

Instagram // Ahhhh... Christmas is only two days away!! I can't quite believe how fast 2016 has flown by - it will soon be the new year and honestly, that scares me. I remember being a young kid and thinking the six-week summer holiday felt like a lifetime - now, six-weeks goes by in the blink of an eye... Anyways, I'm trying to make myself feel festive and I'm writing this whilst listening to cheesy, Christmas tunes - Last Christmas by Wham is my hands down favourite and I also love the cover by Florence and the Machine. My instagram pictures are not very festive, in fact, they are very pink and girly at the moment - but these images are too cute not to share, am I right?!

Light In The Box Handbag Review 2016

Light In The Box // Hello loves, hope you're having a great week and excited for the arrival of Christmas, it's just round the corner. I feel as though Christmas has come early for me though, with the arrival of this new handbag from online store, Light In The Box. I was contacted by company rep, Flora, who offered me the chance to review one of their products. I was initially quite wary when it came to ordering, as they are not based in the UK. Fortunately, Flora was on hand to help and answers all my questions and queries. I decided to review one of their handbags - I've been after a medium sized bag for some time and this sleek, black and gold number stood out among the rest. From my pervious post here, you'll know I love everything 'black and gold' so it's no real surprise that I ended up choosing this item...

Black and Gold Dress - Outfit of the Day

Black and Gold // Ahhhh black and gold. To me, it's the perfect combination. It's effortless, classy and stylishly simple. All my favourite accessories are black and gold (bags, shoes and belts) and it's probably the reason why this dress is also a firm favourite. I bought this shiny number from Urban Outfitters years ago and it's always been great to wear over the Christmas period - it's perfect for any night out! It has a unique print that instantly caught my eye, with a hint of glitter and sparkle that I think is a necessity for this time of year!

My Life in Pictures // Instagram

Instagram // Christmas time is just the best - we can eat as much as we want and not feel (too) guilty! It's also the best time of year for everyone to get together, catch up over mulled wine or battle it out over the Monopoly board. One of my favourite winter hobbies is to watch as many movies as possible over the Christmas break. Whether it's festive themed, murder mystery thriller or animation adventure, I just love to curl up on the sofa in front of the fire and get lost in a great movie. What kind of things do you like to do over the Christmas break? Let me know in the comments below!

Best Dressed - The British Fashion Awards 2016

The British Fashion Awards // The British Fashion Awards took place last week at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The annual event attracts fashionable celebrities from all around the world and we saw some of our favourite stylish stars hit the red carpet. Although there were a few interesting, adventurous and just plain 'wacky' outfits, many celebs did not disappoint. I've decided to share my favourite looks from the fashionable night - and it's not just the ladies that stood out, several men looked pretty smart too!

Red Velvet Dress - Outfit of the Day

A Christmas Classic // I know what you're thinking - velvet for winter? Groundbreaking. But it's a classic christmas fabric for a reason and it's one which I love (you'll probably already know this if you read my previous post here). It's just one of those materials that bring back so many memories for me, particularly for this time of year. This dress is an old one, bought as a maxi dress from my local charity shop and chopped up so that I didn't look too Elizabethan. Although I probably cut it too short (dammit), it's still really warm and perfect to layer up with leggings and a thick jumper. It also looks great for a night out - just throw on a statement necklace and leather jacket, and you're good to go!

My Life in Pictures // Instagram

Instagram // Christmas is just around the corner and I finally heard my first festive song of the season - Fairytale of New York, what a classic! Although I love this time of year, I'm definitely dreaming of summer and warms days by the beach... I think my mood is reflected in my Instagram posts lately, with many throwback posts to last spring. I've been sharing some interior inspiration too - who doesn't love a Pinterest binge? I've created a huge board of what I hope my future house will look like one day... One can dream, eh? I've really enjoyed reading lately and I've challenged myself to read more classic novels. I am definitely going to have a reading corner like the one below in my future home, it's gorgeous!

Best Party Dresses for Christmas 2016

Party Season // Being a self-confessed lover of dresses, it would only be right to put together a list compiled with the best part dresses for Christmas 2016. We've seen party dresses be incredibly important for decades, with glamorous women making dramatic entrances in gorgeous designs. I've always loved dressing up at this time of year [if you can't look a million dollars at Christmas time, when can you?!]. I've searched the web and collected my favourite outfits available at the moment, ranging from  the classic LBD to the shiny sequinned number, guaranteed to make sure you stand out for all the right reasons.

DKNY Turqouise Top - Outfit of the Day

Winter Blues // I know what you're thinking and yes, I was very cold posing for these pictures but that's a pain I'm willing to endure for this old blog of mine... haha! As you'll know from my previous outfit posts (here, here and here), I've become quite obsessed with this faux leather skirt from Warehouse. It's become a wardrobe staple for me and seems to match so many items - to be honest, I've also become quite lazy when it comes to 'style' and always opt for warm, 'easier to throw on' options instead. I picked up this DKNY cami top at my local charity shop - I think it's actually meant to be a pyjama top but the blue colour is too pretty not to show off and wear outside! It's really thin though and not ideal for harsh winter days so I tend to wear another top underneath, or throw on one of my many thick wooly jumpers until I start to resemble a marshmallow...

My Life in Pictures // Instagram

Instagram // Hello loves, hope you've had a wonderful week. Can you believe we are so close to Christmas?! The year has honestly flown by! I love this time of year though - everything is warm and cozy, there's an endless supply of hot chocolate and I seem to develop an endless craving for sugary snacks - yes, not great for the figure but it's Christmas, right? That always seems to be my go-to 'excuse'.
