* Clueless *

(Check Dress + Bag - ASOS / Pink Jumper - Select / Boots - Office / Jacket - New Look)

Hello lovelies!

This week has quite literally been non-stop. From completing a mountain of coursework, to catching up with old friends, I've been one busy bee! I am going to apologise in advance if my blogging pattern goes a little crazy. With my masters course being quite intense, blogging may have to be put on the back burner for a wee while. Don't worry, I definitely will continue to post as much as I can, although uni work will (unfortunately) have to come first. I realised this when, for the first time in a while, I found myself staying in on a Friday night rushing to complete coursework. I'm sure a lot of you out there can understand this though, and feel my pain! :)

Anyways, I wanted to share with you my favourite outfit at the moment. This cozy knit jumper is perfect for the fast approaching winter months, and keeps me warm during my morning commute to uni. I've loved this check dress for months now, as it allows me to channel Cher Horowitz from Clueless, who let's face it, everyone loves! I completed the look with my black biker jacket, and I was ready to face a full day of classes.

More soon,

Helen

Back To School

Hello lovelies!

It's now mid October and I'm sure most of you have returned back to school, college or university life. I'm in that boat, and let me tell you, it's been a shock to the system. After the leisurely four month summer I've just had, I'm already right back in the swing of things, with what seems like never-ending tasks to be done. I can already feel a headache coming on from the constant strain of staring at my computer screen. Here's a little secret; last year my head got so bad during final exam time, that I would wear sunglasses when I was on the computer, hoping that would take the glare off my eyes. People in the library must have thought I was a right diva... Desperate times, desperate measures!

Anyways, the point of this post? Well, to satisfy my never-ending Polyvore addiction, I've created my ideal 'Back to School' outfit, fulfilling all my Gossip Girl inspired dreams. Oh, to have been arriving on the steps of the Met to meet my friends for the first day back... One can dream!

Good luck to everyone starting uni, or returning for a brand new semester!

The Perfect Addition

Aztec Skirt - Glamorous / Necklace + Bag - Vintage / Black Cami - Primark

 Hello lovelies!

So, the last two weeks have been incredibly busy since I started my masters course. It's already quite intense and I've hardly had a minute to myself, let alone a minute to blog! I'm sure a lot of you are in the same boat right now though, so I think I just need to relax, buy some new clothes and everything will get better, right? Yes, retail therapy is always the answer! :)

Speaking of new clothes, cheering me up on this gloomy October day, (where has the year gone by the way?!) is this wonderful skirt from the Glamorous A/W collection. I had a serious fangirl skirt moment when I saw this aztec beauty online, isn't it gorgeous? Although I love it, unfortunately it is quite short, and so I have to apologise to anyone I may flash when I sit down. But honestly this skirt is so pretty, I'll take a little embarrassment any day! It's become the perfect addition to my wardrobe this season, as it is made from warm cord-like material, which I plan on wearing with many, many layers so that it can still be worn in the thick of winter!

* A Pleasant Surprise *

(Paisley Print Dress - Glamorous / Black Boots - Office / Belt & Necklace - Vintage)

Hello lovelies!

Well, this was a surprise! The wonderful people over at Glamorous HQ ever so kindly gave me some spending money - eeek! I have been a fan of Glamorous clothing for a very long time now, and was super excited to browse their new A/W collection. I ordered a couple of things, and to my absolute surprise, one item that I had ordered was not included, with instead this blue paisley creation in it's place. Initially, I was confused and a little sceptical, considering I'd ordered something cream originally. However, to my wonderful surprise, it was gorgeous and I'm so glad the warehouse staff messed up. It was such a pleasant surprise and on reflection, I like this dress more than I think I would my original item. So thank you Glamorous, for the generous vouchers and for the very, very pleasant surprise!

* George Fashion Challenge *

Hello lovelies!

I was recently given the challenge from George at ASDA to create an outfit wish list from their new Autumn/Winter dress collection. I accepted this challenge, as being a self-confessed lover of all bargains, I am always in favour of fashionable and affordable clothing. I think most of the supermarkets do a pretty good job at creating their own stamp on the fashion world, delivering enviable style to the masses. Don't believe me? Well, just look below! I've created two different looks from the new collection;

Evening Glamour

(Blue Dress £40 / Black Blazer £15 / Black Shoes £14 / Clutch Bag £8)

My first look features my favourite dress from the new George collection; this electric blue number instantly caught my attention! The delicate lace design and hourglass figure gives an elegant and flattering figure, which wouldn't look out of place on the rails of an exclusive fashion boutique. Plus, the attractive price tag will have you looking a million dollars, without breaking the bank!

Everyday Style

My second look is aimed at the younger generation, injecting a grunge element to a casual, everyday outfit. Burgundy has remained a very popular clothing colour, especially for the winter months, making this chunky knit dress both fashionable and practical. All the items are very reasonably priced, and therefore a great example of how you can look stylish, whilst sticking to a tight clothing budget. If you are interested in purchasing any items, just head to my Polyvore for more details, or go straight to George clothing where the majority of items can be found!
