Polka Dot Spot

Dress and shoes - Primark, Bag - Topshop.

Hello Lovelies!

Wore this outfit yesterday for some drinks and food with friends! I thought with the sleeves down, it looked like something out of the 70's. That's probably why my mum liked it. It reminded her of the fashion that was around when she was a teenager, however I preferred them rolled up. What do you guys think? :)

Exciting news - I booked my flights to Denmark today! There is no going back now! It's quite scary thinking about it and I guess this now makes it official. I'm leaving in August and will be living there for a few months. I was thinking about this blog and what I could do to carry it on. I'm not sure if I will have enough clothes to be blogging outfits continuously, and so may start taking photos of other people. I love to follow street style blogs like The Sartorialist and Face Hunter, so you never know, this blog could become a Danish street style diary! :)

Hope you are all doing great!

Touch of Gold

Top and Jewellery - Primark, Skirt - Topshop, Shoes - New Look, Bag - Vintage.

Hello Lovelies!

I recently rediscovered this Topshop skirt that I bought about 2 years ago. I was going to sell it on eBay but once I tried it on again, I remembered why I liked it in the first place. It's so delicate and feminine and can be easily dressed up or down depending on the occasion. I've decided to hold onto it for a wee bit longer, definitely going to get more wear out of it!

I'd also like to say a BIG thank you and hello to all my recent followers! I've managed to pass the 500 mark.. wowow!! Thank you so much to everyone who has commented on my posts and to all those who talk on twitter, it's great being able to interact with all of you! I've decided to create something for you all, with the help of my fellow blogger best friend Georgina. (Check out her blog here. She does amazing nail tutorials!!) So keep your eyes pealed for the surprise soon! :)

Dressing Down

Shoes - Converse. Jacket and t-shirt - H+M. Shorts - eBay. Jewellery - Topshop, Primark and H+M

Hey Guys!

Quick post today! Got quite a slouchy outfit to show you all. I love dressing like this. I just need to throw on a baggy t-shirt and shorts, with my trusty parka jacket and I'm set. I think if I could dress like this everyday, then I would. Also thought I'd show off my lovely new converse trainers. I decided that I needed a practical pair of shoes for once, which made my mum very happy. However, she doesn't like the fact I chose white ones. Very white ones. I'm scared to properly wear them outside incase they get dirty! Haha :)

Hope you are all well, more soon!

Tropical Flowers

Dress and Jacket - H+M. Earrings - Topshop. Belt - Attic.
Hello Lovelies!

I've been away for a few days at the Scottish music festival, Rockness! I had an amazing time living in a tent, getting drunk and dancing to lots of music right next to Loch Ness, a beautiful location for a festival. The live music was incredible. I managed to see a number of bands including Ed Sheeran (I think I'm in love after watching him perform), Mumford and Sons (one word - wow!), Deadmau5, Friendly Fires, Scottish favourites The View and Biffy Clyro, and many many more. I had such a great time and honestly didn't want to go home so soon, however I did miss my comfy bed, sleeping on rocks for 3 nights wasn't good for my back... I'll post up some Rockness pictures soon!

Anyways, I want to talk to you about this outfit. I bought this dress from H+M a few days ago and really liked it when I tried it on in the changing room. I love the tropical floral pattern on the front. However, somehow the fit was all wrong when I tried it on this morning. Unless my body shape has changed in the last few days, (Rockness was pretty rough...) the dress looked like a potato sack. The material is far too stretchy and clingy on my body, making it quite unflattering. I've shown you the top half of the dress, which looked fine, unlike the bottom. I decided to take it back today and bought a pair of beautiful white converse trainers instead, which are far more practical and flattering for my feet! :) It's always sad when you thought something looked great in the shop changing room, but then it looks completely different at home.

Have any of you had an experience like this?

Vintage Blues

Jumper-Vintage, Shorts+Necklace-H+M, Shoes-Topshop.

Cleaning out my wardrobe this morning, I found this old vintage jumper I bought off eBay about 2 years ago. It had been completely forgotten about, covered in a pile of old clothes, and shoved right to the back. I'm so glad to have found it, the lace collar is really pretty and the jumper itself is good quality and very cosy! I'll definitely be wearing it more often, helping to bring out the old women/ grandma inside of me! I'm also wearing some ancient shoes from Topshop. I think I bought these at least 5 years ago, they are very old but look as good as new. It's great when you find a piece of clothing from years ago that you had completely misplaced or forgotten, will definitely be cleaning out my wardrobe more often!

I have some exciting news! I have officially been accepted to study at the TEKO university of Fashion and Business in Denmark! It is part of a study abroad programme run by my university and I received the news earlier this week. I'm really excited as it will be the first time I'll be studying away from home and it will be great to get some freedom. Pretty sure I will miss my mum's cooking though... Think I'll be living off cheese and toast for a few months!

Anyways, as of August, it's goodbye Scotland, Hello Denmark! :) Eeeek!
