The Oscars - Best Dressed on the Red Carpet

Hello lovelies!

It's that time of year again - the Academy Awards! I"m a huge lover of movies and always get excited when this award show comes around - I am interested in the other award shows such as the Golden Globes and Baftas, but there is just something quite unique about the Oscars that makes them much more exciting. Since fashion is my thing, I always look forward to see what designs the stars rock on the red carpet. This year did not disappoint. I've selected a few of my red carpet favourites:
I love Brie Larson. She is just so cool, down to earth and has looked awesome throughout the entire award season. I'm so glad she won the award for Best Actress too - 'Room' is a fantastic movie and I would urge everyone to watch it!
As always, Cate Blanchett wowed in Armani - I think this design might be a hit or miss with some people but I personally loved it. The intricate and delicate embroidery is so lovely and makes the actress stand out on the red carpet.

Saoirse Ronan is beautiful. She has looked lovely at every event over the last month or two, and she just keeps getting it right. Her classic style just oozes elegance and I think this outfit is perfect Oscar attire. Ronan was mesmerising in Brooklyn, and I'm so glad I found the time to see this movie - her acting is effortless.

Ahhh Jennifer Lawrence - this girl always looked great and she just owns everything with such confidence, let's face it, she could wear a plastic bag and still look lovely.

Let's not forget about Naomi Watts. I actually really liked this look for its simplicity and luxury mermaid vibes. I think it's quite unusual but that helps to add to the attraction.

Resembling an Oscar statue, Margot Robbie was shining in this fancy golden number. I love how she paired such a shiny dress with a simple, black clutch bag. The colour suits her well and she sparkled on the red carpet.
I love the simplicity of Olivia Munn's outfit, I think the orange shade matches her hair and skin tone well and it's a classic look for such an event. I would have loved to see more jewellery though - I think a pair of dazzling statement earrings would have made this outfit more glamorous, but she looks great nonetheless.
There were many other stunning looks from last night's event, but if I had to choose only a handful, it would be the ladies above. Did I miss out your favourite? Let me know which celebrity look you loved!

Larimar Jewellery

Silver Pearl Earrings - Larimar Jewellery

Hello lovelies!
I'm so excited to share with you all these simple, delicate and 'oh so lovely' earrings from Larimar, a new online jewellery boutique. The accessories brand kindly sent me this classic pair of pearls, and I'm in love. The simple yet stylish design makes these earrings quite striking when worn, as the silver constantly catches the light, helping to draw attention to their unique look. I'm usually a 'small and discreet' kind of earring girl, but this pair has inspired me to wear more longer length styles. Larimar have a wide selection of gorgeous jewellery  to choose from, and you can view the full range here: www.larimar.com.
The brand Larimar actually takes it's name from a rare, blue stone found only in the Dominican Republic. Although I opted for white pearls, the website features a variety of turquoise designs. If you'd like to know more about the rare blue gem, or find out more about the brand, click here!
Which item is your favourite from their collection? Let me know in the comments below!
More soon,

Helen
