* Just a Girl and a Pearl *

(Pearl necklace - The Pearl Source / White Skirt - Topshop / Black Cami - Primark)

Hello lovelies!

If I were to ask most of you ladies out there, which item of jewellery is perhaps the classiest of all, and set to stay in style forever, I'm sure most would agree with a simple string of pearls. Constantly seen round the necks of many hollywood glamour elite, (Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn to name a few...) pearls have become a luxurious style statement, with yet a simplistic and chic look.

These classic shiny beads are forever in the dreams of many young girls, who like me have no doubt spent hours of childhood throwing on plastic necklaces, trying to emulate their mothers or grandmothers set of pearly whites. To me, a string of pearls is the epitome of glamour and will never date. When I get older, I'll no doubt be reaching for my pearls, than any other piece of jewellery. I'd like to thank The Pearl Source who were kind enough to send me this glowing set, which I can guarantee will leave me feeling glamorous for many years to come!

* Pretty in Pink *

(Pink Dress - Vera and Lucy @ New look / Necklace and Belt - Vintage / Watch - M&S)

Hello lovelies!

You may know by now that I'm an avid eBay bidder! It is a passion of mine to scroll through the endless listings in search for a bargain or two. Whether it's dresses or jewellery, I'm forever saving items to my 'Watch' list. I can't quite describe what it's like when an eBay parcel arrives at my door; It's almost like experiencing shopping russian roulette, if that is even possible? I guess what I'm trying to say is that sometimes items I've bought have looked completely different from their online pictures, from different colour and shape, and so when a parcel arrives, there can be a slight unknown aspect. The small risk involved is all part of the fun though!

For example, here is a dress I recently purchased from eBay for a steal of a deal - £7! I was positively smiling from ear to ear when I unwrapped it. I clearly remember the dress had been poorly photographed and looked like it was a dark red colour, far from the vibrant pink which shone through the packaging whilst I was opening it. If this dress had been photographed well, the beautiful print would have surely enticed many hungry bidders, and I probably wouldn't have won. However, maybe I shouldn't complain too much about poorly photographed items, as they are usually the ones that turn out to be the real gems.

Autumn Days
For all item details, check my Polyvore

Hello lovelies!

So, it's that time of year again - Autumn. As soon as we see the leaves turn golden brown and fall to the ground, we know it's time to throw on layer upon layer of cozy knits, and order our first pumpkin spiced latte. A classic wardrobe staple for the British season is a trench coat, to help battle the many wet and windy days. With your raincoat on, venture out to your nearest charity shop and find a few classic novels to read as the nights get colder and darker. Don't forget to bake a few yummy treats for yourself too, as we need to build up a layer of sugary insulation for the winter months approaching...!

* Hippie Dreams *

Tan Dress - New Look (Old and from eBay)
Necklace (Bought in Denmark, sorry!)
Handbag - Topshop
Belt - Vintage

Hello lovelies!

This dress answers nearly all of my 1970s sartorial dreams. It's a great balance of old hippie/ modern boho, and it makes me want to listen to Fleetwood Mac all day long. Although it's from New Look, I'm sure it wouldn't look out of place on the rails of a vintage store. I especially love it, as it takes me one step closer to achieving the 70s look that I lurveeee. Oh, to have been a teenager back in the day, just think of the fashion and the music...!

Anyways, I think I'll have to go and watch Almost Famous now to satisfy my hippie craving!

' What's in my Handbag ? '

Hello lovelies!

Like most of you no doubt, I'm a big fan of watching YouTube videos, particularly fashion based ones. I've noticed a few bloggers recently posting a 'What's in my handbag?" video or blog post, and I thought it seemed like a fun thing to share with you all. I don't have my own YouTube channel, but it's definitely something I would love to do in the future. However I'm not particularly tech-savvy, therefore just getting my head around the technology could be a challenge...! For the moment, I've stuck to a simple Polyvore collage to show you all the things I carry around with me on a day-to-day basis. I could have photographed all my items in real life, but Polyvore makes everything look pretty and it was much more fun for me to create! :)

"What's in my Handbag?"
For all items, check my Polyvore!

Handbag - I've had my fringed H&M bag for almost a year. I had been on the hunt for a perfect fringed bag to fulfil all my hippie dreams, and this beaut was the winner!

Purse - I received this Vivienne Westwood purse on my 18th birthday and it's been my absolute favourite thing to carry around since then. It has remained beautiful all these years (I'm now 22 haha) and still smells of fresh leather when I open it - My wee baby!

iPhone/ iPod - So like most people these days, I'm never without my technology. Particularly my iPhone to text all the time, and my iPod to zone out from the world around me.

Umbrella - Living in Scotland, you can't be without an umbrella for those unexpected downpours!

Notebook & Pens - It's always a great idea to carry around a notebook and some pens, for when even greater ideas pop into your head! This is handy around uni time, when I spend too much time on buses and need to write down some thoughts.

Essentials - A handbag would not be complete without some womanly essentials; hairbrush and hair pins for my unruly mane, compact mirror, pocket tissues, hand cream for those colder months, and of course, vaseline!

Final Touch - Throw my keys into my bag, put some sunglasses on, freshen up with a mint or two, and I'm good to go! :)

* Daisy Days *

Daisy Dress - New Look
Leather Jacket - New Look
Fringed Bag - H&M
Shoes - Converse

Hello lovelies!

I wore this casual outfit to run a few errands yesterday with my mum. I've spent the summer relaxing (and recovering) from my stressful last year of uni. But alas, I'm returning to study a masters in two weeks (Yup, I'm mad). So I've been collecting a few things I might need, any excuse to buy new stationery really! I'm currently breaking in my new converse shoes, which I'm so pleased to say actually fit me! I've had many a horror story with previous converse killing my feet (I named my last pair the 'Devil Shoes'), but these classic black ones are a dream, and I'm finally back on the converse bandwagon - yay!

Also since we're speaking of new things, how often do you guys buy a new (faux) leather jacket? I admit, I think I wore my last one for a good four years, and only last week I gave a double take as I noticed my jacket looking all sad and tired in the corner. It's no lie, they are just so versatile and resilient that one will last for years! Nevertheless, my old baby was looking slightly worse for wear, and this shiny new one caught my eye from the New Look window display. Love at first fit.

Back to Reality

Pink Lace Top - Glamorous
Leather Skirt - Republic (Old)
Necklace - Vintage (eBay)

Hello lovelies!

So, that's me finally home from my italian adventure, and settled back into reality... Boo! The arrival of September has marked the end of the very rare Scottish summer, and I'm able to slip back into my old style of outfit posts. Speaking of, I love my new lace top from Glamorous. I originally bought this top in light blue (see here) and I knew when I saw the same top in pink (and on sale!), I just had to have it! You could say I'm currently having a Sleeping Beauty moment, I can't decide which one I like more.. Pink or Blue?... Blue or Pink?... I'll let you guys decide! :)

* Holiday Blues *

Dress - Missguided
Sandals - Dorothy Perkins
Sunglasses - H&M

Hello lovelies!

I'm sharing with you today possibly my last 'summer' outfit. Unfortunately autumn has already hit Scotland and I'm afraid the winter jumpers have been pulled out of the wardrobe already! I'm definitely experiencing the holiday blues right now, and dying to return to the beautiful sunshine of Italy! I wanted to save this outfit for last, as it was my favourite whilst I was on holiday. I spotted this dress a couple of months back on Missguided, and I knew it would be great for my upcoming holiday. It looked even better against the backdrop of two wonderful blue doorways. I won't lie, I had a slight obsession with all the colourful doorways I spotted in rural Italy, and I took enough photos of individual doors to fill a whole photo album with. There were so many doors with such character, and if you are a true follower of my blog, you'll know how much I love to take outfit photos against my own front door! I wish it looked like these ones though-  these two are definitely my favourite!

* Italy / Outfit Two *

Denim Levi's - eBay
Blue Cami - Primark
White Sandals - Dorothy Perkins

Hello lovelies!

This was my go-to outfit whist I was travelling around central Italy. A comfortable pair of Levi's never fail to let me down, and these well-worn ones are my favourite. I bought them on eBay around four years ago, and they have been my holiday staple ever since. I paired my shorts with a pastel blue cami top from Primark (£2!), threw my messy hair into an even messier plait, and then I was good to go! :) Casual and comfy clothes are essential for my holidays, and this provided the perfect exploring outfit! :)

A Guide to Rome 2016

Hello lovelies!

During my italian getaway last month, I spent a whole 24 hours in Rome, aiming to see as many possible sights as I could! We managed a great tour of the city, and safe to say I couldn't feel my feet afterwards. We walked for what seemed like miles (tip: pack a pair of very comfortable shoes!) and ventured across the capital to take in all the breathtaking architecture and iconic attractions. Like before, I'm just sharing my best snaps with you all, with a little description provided underneath.

Enjoy! :)

I found my future car... Vintage Fiat 500!
